    Clan wars 2 has been a disaster. It's been beaten to hell, SC had admitted they dropped the ball on the update / CW2, yet here we still are.

    What's taking so long ? Are they doing a massive overhaul again ? Is it sitting on the back burner ? There are so many things wrong with CW2 - Clans cycling thru random players to build fame quicker - Time zone syncing - The wait times between meaningful war battles / river races - The lack of good war stat tracking.

    I'm the leader of a 4 year old clan. Top 50 local. And I'm seeing a lot of members , long time players leave because of the frustration of how bad CW2 is.

    When is supercell going to announce something meaningful / get some changes going ?

    When can we look forward to CW2 Stats on player profiles? We kick players with no war participation, but noticed some play maybe 1 battle in a war. We need some really telling war stats to determine who's just dead weight

    Clan battle (an idea for a new game mode)

    So here's my idea for a new game mode in clash royale, keep in mind elixir costs are orientative.

    A 3vs3 battle lasting up to 8 minutes. Each team has a castle to defend opposed to their enemies with an open field between them.

    Each castle has 3 cannons (like the one on the king tower) and a pot of boiling oil that can be triggered manually and burns the troops affected slowly until they die (sort of like a poison). The oil has a cooldown.

    Regular units will behave normally, targeting after troops the closest crown tower or walking straight till the castle is in sight. If they encounter a wall they'll attack it (if it's an enemy's) or jump it (if it's an ally's).

    Mockup gameplay

    Building stage

    In the first minute, each player gets 30 elixir to spend building crown towers and walls unseen to the other team. They can place it anywhere in their part of the map.

    • Crown towers: a regular ol' tower.

    20 elixir

    • Wall: made out of thick stone, stops any land troop from trespassing

    3 elixir/tile

    • Trench: a deep groove in the ground that slows the units passing through them by a 50% (1 elixir/tile)

    After that the battle starts, the enemy buildings are revealed and the game proceeds as usual.

    Siege machines

    Each player can choose one apart from their 8 card deck to bring to the skirmish. Each player can place his or hers at any time, with a cooldown to place it again. The player places its first stage for half its price, and then it can be completed by any player for the remaining amount. While the machine is still in the first building stage it's more vulnerable to damage(x2). When the second stage is complete the unit starts moving.

    • Wall wrecker: Runs in a straight line to the castle crushing any building in its path. Has a x3 bonus damage to walls.

    6+6 elixir

    • Battle blimp 7+7: Flies straight to the enemy castle carrying troops to land them straight at its door. If the blimp is destroyed before that, however, troops fill fall to the ground and take a good amount of damage.

    7+7 elixir

    • Siege tower: While still standing, rolls to the closest enemy tower and takes it for the team placing a new archer on top. The tower will return to the enemy when the siege tower is destroyed.

    5+5 elixir

    • Trebuchet: A behemoth with an enormous range that shoots huge rocks straight to the enemy castle.

    9+9 elixir

    • Fire spitter: A flamethrower on wheels with one mission, tear down enemy siege machines. It spits fire and burns them to a crisp with x3 bonus damage.

    5+5 elixir

    2.6 with Electrospirit is quite effective. 9 wins in a row. It will replace ice spirit if they don't nerf it.

    What happened with the exclusive competition to kick off clan wars 2?

    There was an event at the start of cw2 that was met with a lot of criticism: An exclusive river race for 5 official clans. I havent heard anything about it so what happened, was it canceled?
