    The reason why we haven't had major updates is because SC figured out they could keep the money flowing just by recycling content. Despite the decreasing playerbase, CR is still the top 5 game in playstore/appstore with millions of players worldwide. They have more than necessary resources for quicker major updates but they lack the will to do them in order to maximize their profits.

    #Cutting out their money flow is the best thing you can do for the community and the game right now to get what you deserve and what the game needs. It will force SC to act up and at least meet the community demands halfway through. WHICH IS what we are paying them for anyway ...

    This exact thing happened with Clash of Clans a while back, and the community was smart enough at the time to quit the game or cut the funding towards SC. Not long after, they got the biggest F2P update ever. I hope that the CR community does the same given how well it worked in the past. Show them that they have to work to get the money.

    (Optional read, why is the new update far from major)

    The update is 80% a small extension of what already existed in CW1. The trader is a small extension of trading, duels are just extended 1v1 matches. Boatbattles are the only new thing (and they are already busted as feature, bc you can easily 3 crown with clone decks). The new worse UI changes were probably made for the sake of reducing complains for the lack of new content in the update. And finally the rewards, which I don't care that they are the same (maybe less) but that they promised double (basically a scam). Also removing F2P features like CW1 collection days, quests, makes F2P players just play on ladder or be a burden to the clan in war (90%+ dont have max cards) ... there is nothing else to do.

    Supercell’s responses were all based on rewards. I don’t care about rewards. I care about fun. The game isn’t fun anymore. It’s boring and needed an update to make it more exciting.

    I guess I could spend a lot of time talking about this point but essentially the game has been the same for four years. No games are good enough to do the same thing for four years and still be exciting. Supercell's updates with clash of clan reenergized the game because it changed the game. Clan wars 2 didn't do that. It's the same thing repackaged another way.

    How a glitch became the best game mode in this update

    We all have seen players with 1 card deck, and I have experimented this bug that has been around the sub for a while

    and to be honest, it was the funniest "game mode" I have experienced in this update so far

    like in other posts, we want more gold and helps in progression? yes, but we also want to have fun in the game

    me and a friend took down towers using only earthquakes, was amazing

    me and another friend took down pushes and towers using only ice spirits, that was fun as heck

    CW2 feels like a remake of CW1 (because it is duh), the only new stuff is PvE, which was not extremely fun, but was ok I would say

    Bo3, which is just 1v1 3 times, so I don't count it as a new game mode

    I remember when 2v2 was released, was one of the funnies thing to do, literally broke (in a good way) clash royale because we could test all the limits we had with the game

    also when 7x elixir came, a new win condition raised: the backdoor strategy

    I know the dev team can do better, we want more fun, more ways to break the rules of the duel, more ways to push the rules of the duel to their limits

    I have been playing CR for 4 years now, I love the game and I want this to be fun, so please, take this as player feedback not just a rant

    So smaller clans were basically not thought of at all in this update ?

    I haven't been on this sub as of late, so I don't know if this has been discussed, but it's kind of ridiculous that not only have I faced ONLY level 12 and 13s in war, but our clan is severely outnumbered by almost 20+ people compared to the 4 other clans in war. We are still in 3rd somehow but we aren't even close to 2nd or 1st due to us only having 22 members.

    How is this fair at all? Is this maybe because matchmaking can't balance correctly because everybody is in the same league or what ? This update just seems like it made the game worse and not easier to collect cards like they said it would be....

    It's not just me either, a level 11 in our clan with level 11 cards was repeatedly playing max level 13s for duels and battles....

    Although this is an opinion like any other, sometimes it is interesting to indicate the background on who you are. I am a software engineer. Some time ago I dedicated myself professionally to game development, but now it is "just a hobby". Also, changes often bring premature complaints and, as developer, I don't like to complain unless I think it's necessary like now.

    The business model of mobile games is usually based on the Desperation of the player. That's right and that's how it works at Clash Royale. You have a very fast growth and little by little everything goes much slower, until the player decides to pay or leave the game. This is just the main stereotype of a mobile gamer. In exchange for this player's effort, the player who continues playing gets some kind of Fun. On the other hand, the glory peak of CR happened time ago and the game may have already been relegated to a C or D development team and its management would be a bit neglected. This is also normal, no complains.

    However, this doesn't have to lead to bad decisions. Not necessarily. I have commented the 2 main ingredients of this type of games: Despair and fun.

    • Desperation curve. At this point in the CR life cycle, it is normal to be very aggressive with this point and "require" 32 maxed cards. It makes perfect sense, because the current target of the game is no longer so much to attract new players, but to focus on the great majority of players who have a great amount of cards at level 11 and 12. It will affect new and low-level players, but this will be addressed by SuperCell later.

    • Fun. I think this is where a big mistake has been made. It is like the software paradigm where a Swing is designed and a Wood Chunk is obtained. I'm sure the initial idea was good, but the management and execution, has been a bit disastrous. I think it is fair that this comment requires more detail and also at least try to think of alternatives.

    • River race. By approaching it as a race with a goal, the implementation options are limited and the disaster of finishing the race in one day and being stopped for 6 days happens.
      • Alternative. The race lasts 7 days always. The 1st boat is always placed in any fixed screen position and the rest is placed relatively below. When you finish on day 7, the winner is painted on the finish line, and the rest on their positions. Not the best graphic presentation, but 7 days of fun.

    • Usability. This is one of the most disastrous things I have ever seen. I have my 4 decks assembled for the normal battles, then my leader requires making 1 attack on another clan's boat and I have a pain in the ass to make things fit. The war and attack decks are totally different. Being changing them every day is a real madness because of the puzzle it requires. What were you thinking? This is total mess.
      • Alternative. There are simply 3 battle decks and 1 attack deck. So, during the day you can do a maximum of 3 battles and 1 attack (using 32 unique cards, same as now). A better alternative would be for the leader to be able to configure the number of attacks based on each player's position (with a default amount).

    • Competitiveness. In Clan Wars 1 we had the War Wins. This indicated how active a player was as well as how good he was. It was fun to see who could carry the most. Also, it was fun when I competed with my clan to see who got to 200 wins first, what about now?
      • Solution. Just a Wins counter?

    • Number of Clan Members. It is clear that for the correct functioning of the game, clans with 50 players should be "rewarded" a little. But a little. What they have done is discourage thousands and thousands of players for free because they have 20 or 30 very good players.
      • Alternative. Implement some kind of bonus points based on the number of clan members. That is, if they are few, they have a bonus of points, but always being a little worse than having more members.

    • Clan Wars 2 Functioning. The general idea of ClanWars 2 is very good, but it is very poorly implemented. Attacks right now mean almost nothing, ships are repaired very fast, there are not many tools to coordinate the clan other than chat, etc.
      • Maybe give the 4th and 5th boat an advantage. Taking advantage of the fact that these are ship wars, your ships could have additional cannons to attack and defend, or something like a bomb from the shot'em up games dealing some damage to everything once per boat attack.
      • Make a system similar to ELO during the races. Where the first one gains less points for winning and less points for losing. And the 5th, would get more points for winning and less for losing. Something subtle, but something at least.
      • Give importance to the victories. Maybe giving nothing for losing, or something insignificant. Right now I play while I'm cooking, because I don't care about losing and that's boring. 50 members x 4 lost games x 100 points = 20.000 points. In other words, to end the war in 2.5 days by losing everything. Isn't that pitiful?
      • Boat Attacks effectiveness needs to be totally revised.

    Please, consider this constructive criticism, as I still love the game and it is my first complain in more than 3 years playing.

    Unfortunately sometimes a clan member is incredibly toxic or mean and curses a lot and/or acts racist and/or homophobic, etcetera. I've had someone in my clan who acts in al these ways, and despite reporting and kicking him he keeps coming back.

    I think as the leader of a clan you should be able to decide who can join your clan and who can't. But as a leader you can't control who the elders and co-leaders in your clan invite. So therefore I suggest the option for clanleaders to ban accounts from their clan, so the players can't join the clan or be invited.

    Please upvote if you agree so Clash Royale developers might add this. I've just kicked the person this is about for the 10th time and it's super annoying.

    I have been playing for 4 years. In that time I have maxed one deck and used it to get to masters 3. With CW2 you are trying to push people to new decks, which I appreciate. I would love to have a chance to use something new and be rewarded for it.

    However, you are also pushing me into weaker decks, and then because of those weaker decks i am at a major disadvantage against someone else using their maxed deck.

    I would rather uninstall than pay to boost my decks.

    I would rather uninstall than be at that disadvantage for the next ? months/years.

    I would rather uninstall than pay you $5 after this update.

    I would rather uninstall than wait for whatever is next after CW2.
