Supercell better have something good prepared for us this season.

Between the lack of a new arena and the two-week long challenge, I'm personally expecting more than just a season.

Usually don’t play with low elixir decks very often. How did I do?

    Beginning in 2020

Hi, I've never been into mobile games before and was always on the Xbox, but can't do that anymore due to an injury. I would love to play games that are really nail biting and don't require hundreds of dollars in spending to be competitive.

I have a few shortlists, but before I jump into want to ask people if I'm too late to make any meaningful progress, IL be 3 years behind most people and that will probably be a serious disadvantage.

To be competitive ( not pro level), how many hours am I looking at putting in on an average a day and how much am I looking at spending.

Sorry if it does not belong here.

List of inconsistencies between Max Ladder and Tournament Standard

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 09:56 PM PST

I made a spreadsheet that calculates the number of hits each unit takes to kill each other unit for a chosen card level (and you can set the hitpoint level to be different from the damaging card level), to be able to easily see bad interaction breakpoints (like level 12 Royal Ghost takes two shots to break level 13 Guards shield, instead of 1).

Then out of curiosity I did a comparison between tournament standard and max ladder, wondering if the rounding that happens due to level scaling makes any interactions different. And I was surprised to find there are a bunch of minor inconsistencies, and a few pretty big ones!

Here are some highlights of Max Ladder breakpoints differing from Tournament Standard:

(I will always put the Max Ladder amount first)

Cards that are better in Max Ladder than in Tournament Standard:

Bats take one less bite to kill Cannon Cart, Executioner, Goblin Giant, Lava Hound, and Prince.

Cannon Cart takes 6 shots instead of 7 to kill an Executioner, and 15 shots instead of 16 to kill a Princess Tower.

Spear Goblins take one less shot to kill Cannon Cart, Executioner, Goblin Giant, Hog Rider, Lava Hound, and Prince.

Goblins take one less stab to kill Bomber, Bowler, Elixir Golem, Elixir Golemite, Elixir Blob, Hunter, Ice Golem, Musketeer, Royal Hogs, Witch, Wizard, and any shield (Dark Prince / Guard / Royal Recruit). The shields normally take 3 stabs but instead they only take 2, which is a pretty big deal. Goblins seem significantly better at max ladder than at tournament standard.

Minions take one fewer hit to kill E-wiz, Executioner, Giant Skeleton, Goblin Giant, Ice Wizard, PEKKA, Princess Tower, Rascal Boy, Tombstone.

Cards that are worse in Max Ladder than in Tournament Standard:

Baby Dragon takes 4 shots instead of 3 to kill Bomber.

Bandit takes 6 hits instead of 5 to kill a Fisherman.

Dart Goblin takes 1 extra shot to kill a Fisherman, Miner, Royal Ghost, and Sparky.

Electro Dragon takes 4 shots instead of 3 to kill Skeleton Barrel.

Miner takes 6 hits instead of 5 to kill Fisherman.

Rascals take 4 hits instead of 3 to kill Royal Recruits (after shield).

There are a bunch more very minor inconsistencies that I didn't feel were worth listing out.

Of course buildings slowly drain health so their breakpoints are unlikely to matter, and most troop interactions are combinations of units where specific breakpoints like these often won't matter.

Nevertheless, there are some interesting and potentially important breakpoint differences between Max Ladder and Tourney Standard.

    Thanks for reading!

    -Mang

P.S. I think my next goal with this spreadsheet is to try to quantify which cards are the most/least level dependent, and which benefit the most from over-levelling (or mirroring) by analyzing their changed interactions. If you are interested or have suggestions or ideas, I'm all ears.

We need a campaign mode or solo mode in Clash Royale

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 07:34 AM PST

This would be a distraction from ladder and it will attract new players. As well it will help f2p to increase their king level.

    Statistic Tracking

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 02:31 PM PST

There's several great stat trackers out there, and they can be extremely useful. I just wonder why none of them (that I know of at least) use the given data to the best of it's ability.

There's enough data given to where royaleapi or statsroyale should analyze your matches and make intelligent decisions.

'It appears you're losing a lot to bridgespam, changing Barb barrel for tombstone could help increase your win rare' 'Your deck is weak to air. Other users with similar builds have more success with musketeer instead of goblins'

One of the trackers use to analyze your cards and levels and show you the most successful decks with your levels. That was a genius feature (albeit depressing, when you realized others were at 8k with your card levels), but I can't find a working version of it now.

    Token upgrade.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 04:25 PM PST

If you have 10 token of a kind, you should be able to trade all in for 1 token of the directly above rarity. For example 10 common token can be converted to 1 rare token and so on.

Lost at the end of overtime?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 08:55 PM PST

Hopefully someone can explain this to me. For quick reference, I stopped playing for half a year or more, but have recently started playing again. I just played a 2v2 game (party mode is to new to me), and lost at the end of overtime when we should have been tied. The time counted down and then everything sort of paused, and then after a couple seconds our/my second tower exploded (for no reason?) and then it was over and we lost. Did overtime rules change and drawing isn't possible anymore? Help, I don't understand!

In arena 11 at the moment any suggestions?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 07:01 PM PST

Here's the 2nd pic of my issue. You know how many cards you have when you post more than 1 card to trade.
