    Ask me anything about Clash.

You can ask about deck changes, how to counter certain cards, how to beat hard counters, or anything in general. As a top 500 player currently, I would love to help you all with advice

When building a deck from scratch, it pulls you up to the top every time you add a card. I can’t be the only one who gets mildly infuriated by this feature lol

My Counter to the triple elixir tier list the other fellow put up. It's missing E-Giant and Earthquake which I'd say were second top tier picks.

An honest question, are we toxic?

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 03:30 PM PDT

After spending a decent amount of time on some of the other boards and games, one thing that was said by almost everyone was that the clash royal community is extremely toxic. I personally wrote it off as trolling and people being people, but then I saw the card about drew leaving. So I looked back at some of his Twitter posts and what the community said.. and I've come to the conclusion that people are pretty right, we as a community are pretty toxic.

Dark souls,. Battle Toads, and this ridiculous challenge right here. Enough to make a gamer destroy their console. Luck of the draw AND relying on a team mate? What could be worse?

    Why the hate against 2.6?

    Posted: 24 Aug 2021 04:51 PM PDT

I might be a bit biased since I have used this deck as my main ladder deck for what is going to be 3 years now, but I have never understood the hate towards 2.6 hog cycle. Sure it holds the highest use rate in all of ladder by a decent margin but it is not oppressive and it never has been. Despite it being surprisingly underrated and decent in the meta, the consensus opinion from all the pros is that the strength of 2.6 is declining (and has been for the past 2+years) I attribute its popularity to the fact that it is a free to play friendly deck that can almost always do decently in any meta (look at oyassuu). I think this is fine especially in the 5-6k trophy range (where it is the most popular) where everything is overleveled. I also don't understand how people can both complain about mid-ladder being an overleveled mess yet also complain about free to play people sticking to a ladder deck so they only have to focus their resources into one place. Like, they're also trying to have an even playing field yet they get lumped into the same group. And although progression is better these days than it was 3 years ago, I don't think you can fault the veterans for sticking to their comfort zone as they know all the nuances in each matchup that they have played for so many seasons (at least in my case). As for why it is more popular than say the other quintessential free to play deck in 3.0 x-bow (which also gets a lot of hate for some of the same or different reasons), I would say it is because hog rider is quite an easy win con to pick up at least in comparison to x-bow. And while that might not be a high bar, it cannot be denied that hog is quite a simple win con to play. You can play it on its own as a safe first play, and it is only four elixir so it can't really be punished. This also should not be the problem of 2.6 because 1. Hog rider isn't exactly the hardest thing to counter. Many things counter for positive or neutral trades (not to mention the elixir you would need to spend to defend counter pushes making expensive counters turn into positive trades) and 2. Hog rider is used in many other decks which don't get nearly as much hate as 2.6 does. A prime example of this being the hog-firecracker-earthquake cycle deck that is basically just a modern day version of 2.6 hog. The deck is basically better in every way and I have faced more than I have faced 2.6 (I faced it just twice today). Despite that, I have not heard anyone complain about that deck (except for like x-bow players but of course they would; they get hard countered) yet there are plenty of posts on this sub complaining about 2.6, and against people using it. Why hate 2.6 hog?
