    Guide to 2.9 Balloon Cycle ��

    This deck is a very popular cycle deck that is viable in the meta and is super fun to play. (imo)

    I have played this deck a lot and I thought I could help some people out by describing the game plan and strategy I use.

    Section 1: Single Elixir

     I like to start the game with a miner on the tower. If it doesn't connect, that's fine, you can possibly identify what deck you go up against or even an air counter from the opponent. If you don't have miner, you can easily cycle to it. Here are my choices on the best cards to cycle (excluding miner, because he should be played on counterpushes or when the field is empty) This is from best to worst: Skeletons, Log, Snowball, Ice Golem, Musketeer, Bomb Tower, Balloon. Be careful cycling spells, you must know if your opponent is running bait. Don't be afraid to start the first attack. You are a cycle deck, so you shine in single elixir. If you cycle your ice golem in the back and it reaches the bridge, go in with a balloon! this will help identify the opponents deck and thus their air counters. From there, I like to play more defensively and do damage mostly from remaining musketeers. *IMPORTANT* Always protect your musketeers on defense. It is a great counterpushing tool, and can get sneaky chip damage or create pressure. What I like to do is place a musketeer near the tower, but a bomb tower in the middle. I usually kite with the ice golem, which can be used for counter push if you feel switching lanes is the best option. However, when my musky is the only one left alive after the defense is over, I place ice golem in front of it and balloon. In double elixir, you can miner the tower/ground defense to kill it and keep your balloon alive. Or, you can go for sneaky miner hits if you know your balloon will die. 

    Section 2: Double Elixir

     We already covered the basics of how to defend, but double elixir can be tricky. Try to keep cycling you cheap cards in the back and keep control of the field with miners and small ice golem and balloon pushes where you can get death damage. If they place a high elixir troop in the back, immediately go in. I cannot stress this enough, balloon is great at forcing positive elixir trades. If you have the upper hand in elixir, defending is a breeze. I usually finish off the tower with a miner snowball or a big heavy balloon push. Only do a heavy balloon push once you know how to shut down all of your opponent's air counters, or else you could get surprised and get no damage at all, which could lose you the game. Figuring out how to shut down opponent's air counters is simple. If its on the ground, go for a predictive miner. If its in the air, snowball it back. Its that easy. If they have no air counters that are on the ground, then get some sneaky miner chip damage. Miner can get clutch shots on the tower and usually gets me more damage than my balloon. 

    Section 3: Overtime

    In overtime, do not instigate attacks unless the opponent plays a high elixir card or cycles their air defense, or you have a high health musketeer to counterpush with. Try to get miner chip damage. On defense, try to get as many musketeers down as you can, and if they try to cycle hog or royal giant, out cycle them to get back to your bomb tower.

    Drew...Where art thou? Your community needs you, not deafening silence

    They say there is no sound in a vacuum. Since CW2 launched it was immediately obvious the update was a dud. After some backwards and forwards a relative vacuum has been created that's slowly strangling and emboldening negativity in this community.

    Drew has posted little in the last 120 days. In my opinion his silence has been deafening on Reddit. Supercell didn't like the community's reaction to CW2 so eventually if feels like Drew has taken his sub-Reddit bat and ball home and left us dangling.

    Times were different once upon a time - lots of variety of posts, loads of engagement from Supercell devs and Drew himself was more active. It's like everyone has lost spirit because look at the state of affairs now. There's barely anything going on with the game and Drew's connection with this community...and he's the game's community manager who is supposed to keep us updated and motivated for the future.

    Supercell could feed us more information on progress in simple regular posts to break the vacuum and to stop the community turning and feeding on itself.

    Not only can you make no noise in a vacuum...nor does noise travel in a vacuum...nothing survives in it either. It's a real shame the once strong marriage has broken down - is it too late for a reconciliation? After all, at the heart of a good marriage is good communication.

    Although it may be a small change, I think it can be a nice addition to the card info; especially for spells, where you may want to look up and remember the exact number of damage it deals.

    I play since 2017, and here from 2018.

    Each day I enter to read the posts and see 2-10 posts of "new card idea" or "new feature", or suggestions to do that and fix the other.

    Did this ever works? did Drew or some of Supercell's developers enter this sub and saw a post with a card idea and said "well that's cool" and added it to the game after a month?

    The only thing I ever see that this community managed to pull out is to bring the ladder back to normal after Supercell destroyed it.

    Drew is barely enter to write here, and I suspect that none of Supercell dev team interested in this community's suggestions, ideas and opinions. CW2 is something nobody asked for, and most of the new cards are duplicates from old card.

    I really don't understand what give you the energy to keep suggesting things and ideas.

    I personally HATE freeze. It's the most OP, shithouse card on the game. Loon Freeze, Hog Freeze or Grave Freeze are just disgusting tactics. Anti-fun shithousery in my opinion.

    If you could delete one card, what would it be?

    Mother Witch is an extremely matchup dependent card. She'll do great against GY and fast cycle decks, but absolutely terrible against beatdown.

    In my opinion, she needs a rework. Reduce her to 3 elixir, buff her hitspeed and damage, but make her target non+cursed enemies like Ram Rider.
