    Card Mastery: My idea for adding meaningful progression to the game and making losing, winning and new cards being added to the game feel more rewarding without affecting in-game or real world economy

    Winning good. Losing bad

    Losing a match feels terrible. On ladder and in challenges. On ladder you lose trophies and several minutes of attention and effort while gaining seemingly nothing of value (except for how much you value the visuals and sounds of playing a match). In challenges you lose time and one of your challenge attempts, which are directly related to real world money because you can buy back into challenges.

    Losing SHOULD feel worse than winning. Don't get me wrong, I understand why winning SHOULD be more valuable than losing. But hear me out.

    What rewards do you get from winning? Gold, cards, trophies that leads to more gold and more cards, etc.

    That's great and all but I feel like not all of the rewards in the game should be tied directly to real world money.

    My idea: making winning and losing both more rewarding without affecting the in game economy or your wallet in any way.

    Card Mastery

    You elect one card in your deck as the card you will be mastering by placing that card in the first slot in your deck. UI can indicate this is the card being mastered.

    Every card requires 10,000 points to master. You get 20 Mastery points for winning, 10 Mastery points for losing. Assuming a 50% win rate, you get an average of 15 points per match.

    It's importing that both winning AND losing will reward you Mastery points.

    Based on my numbers, it would take a LONG time to Master a card. For a casual player, maybe several months. For a hardcore player, 2 months or less. But if you actually calculated how long it takes to do things in this game, you'd be surprised. How many people in the world have all gold skins?

    As you master a card, you get rewarded. This is where SuperCell can jump in with their creativity. Possible rewards: - Adding "[Card Name] Master" next to your username - Special card skin - Special card deploy sound - A badge on your profile of every card you've Mastered - A number of Mastered cards on your profile

    I think this could add meaningful progression to the game while simultaneously NOT affecting any economy and making losing a match still feel like you are working toward something.

    This would also make having new cards being added feel special in a different way because people who've mastered all of their favorite cards may be inspired to master a new card being added.

    Is my idea perfect? No, I'm sure I'll see exactly why it's not in the comments. Be critical and kind and let me know what you think. I was trying to think of ways of adding progression while also adding value to every match you play, even if you lose trophies. If you can think of any other ways to do this, that would be awesome to hear.

    TLDR: Master one card at a time. Mastery points earned by winning and losing (more for winning). Each card takes a long time to master. Fun rewards for mastering a card.

    Edit: To discourage intentional losses for free Mastery points, tie Mastery points to tower damage. That way even in a close loss, you get rewarded for your tower damage.

    We all know the ice wizard. Has about the same health as wizard, but does way less damage. He's a legendary because he has a special ability that no other troops has, the slowness effect that he can put. His use rate and win rate stats say that he's balanced. A 9% use rate and a 46% percent win rate. Balanced right? Well, he's only up there because of tornado. In Royale API, 19 out of the 20 decks have tornado along with the ice wiz. The only decks that don't have tornado with the ice wiz is RG ice wiz with Barbs and musk and any crazy ladder deck.(Same thing can be said with Executioner but that's another post for another day.) But why is paired so much with tornado? Well, ice wiz does area damage, and slows down stuff in the area, which is great for defense. So why not clump up the troops so everyone can be slowed? That's why the tornado is there. The combination provides so much defensive potential. It can stop the biggest pushes. That's why ice bow and splashyard don't have a tank killer. (Well Tesla is technically a tank killer since it does alot damage, but you see my point.... hopefully) And that's also a reason why golem and RG uses it along with something like mini pekka or lumberjack. Ice wiz and tornado is such a cheap defense. It's only 6 elixer that can be quickly replenished in double elixer. And if the opponent is going in for a monster push, that's where the mini pekka or lumberjack come in. They take care of the tank while ice wiz and tornado slow everything down and crippling the push. It's such a good synergy between those 2 cards. But there's a danger to that. If tornado suddenly dies off, it's gonna bring ice wiz with it. But if ice wiz dies off, then tornado is still gonna flourish. Is this really a problem? Maybe. If tornado dies off, ice wiz will become the worst legendary in the game. So I say, buff him while nerfing tornado, but not too severely, to compensate for it. What would be some good buffs? Maybe damage or splash radius or both. I mean, think about it. No one wants a troop that does to fireball+zap, deals only 75 damage, and has a splash radius of 1 tile. If we buff the damage, say to make it kill princess is one less shot, that could allow it to kill stuff quicker. Which is pretty beneficial. Or the splash radius could be increased to like 1.2 tiles or more so it can be less reliant with tornado. I'm not a balance expert though. Do y'all think ice wiz is too dependant on tornado? Discuss it in the comments.

    Elixir golem and healer level

    My cousin pushed to top 700 in us with elixr golem. I really wanted to try it out since it looks op, but my problem is my e golem is level 8 and my healer is level 8. I am at 5300 trophies. Is that a problem?
