    It's been four years since Clash Royale was released and we are here to celebrate. This weekend we will be giving away 100 exclusive 4th birthday emotes to a few lucky Redditors!

    Entering is simple, all you have to do is fill out this form in addition to leaving a comment below telling us how / why you started playing Clash Royale! Entries will close on Sunday, March 8th at 11:59PM EST.

    If you'd like to win even more emotes, we are giving away a few thousand on the official Clash Royale Discord server over the course of the entire month! Make sure to stay tuned, we may have some more surprised up our sleeves on Reddit this month as well.

    Simple idea: Allow emote reorganization like apps on your phone (hold, jiggle, drag) and they stay in that order in a match. Your first 8 are still your first 8.

    Season 9 analysis: From the sidelines

    Happy birthday Clash Royale! The game we all (or most of us anyway amirite) love is turning 4 years old this month! We got a big pass royale season this month. But is it enough to sway the game's recent downward swing into a decisive uptilt? Here's what I see from Reddit, official YouTube channels, and my friends playing.

    Long Story Short

    This season is worse than the last one. This is relative to the occasion, of course, but seriously. It's an occasion that only happens once per YEAR, and all we get is a new card and an arena that caused legitimate motion sickness? The new game modes don't count, nor do the emotes. That's not new content, that's just recycled stuff.

    Now for the technical part: what does this mean for the future of the game?

    New card: Royal success or monarchical fail?

    In my opinion, neither. It's not a fail, it might find its niche in the meta. But, it IS just a barbarian barrel shoved together with a watered-down fireball. Don't believe me? Prove to me it's unique. I'll wait.

    I do like the concept. It's a cool card, but this is the anniversary season, and I'm sure we were all expecting more. I don't play anymore, so I've never used the card, but I've seen footage of it. It's recycled, and lazy. We wee all wanting something way bigger since this is a significant milestone. Mobile games, and video games in general, rarely last as long as Clash has. The potential is there, so PLEASE seize it and deliver something big!

    New arena: Virtual Boy of mobile?

    In case you don't know, the Virtual Boy was the very first VR console ever, made by Nintendo. Why don't you hear about it? Because it sold about 20 units and caused more visits to the ER. The new arena this season is less serious, but still a fail.

    I love the concept of a giant moving cake, specially for the birthday. But it caused motion sickness due to the moving background, as stated by Drew himself! You'd think something this obviously wrong would be tested, but noooo, apparently not. Lacklustre season just gets worse.

    Emote situation

    Those annoying things we all hate? They serve only to annoy and to make zero-effort cash on the business end. People buy these things for a lot of money, but they don't do anything!

    Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has this issue down. When you play online, all taunts are disabled. You can spam all the PK Fire or the NAirs you want, but you can't rub it in. Unfortunately this also includes Luigi's insta-kill down taunt, but that's another story.

    Why can't Clash do this? Remove all the non-limited emotes and compensate with cards or chests (for example, one lightning chest per emote), this will reduce the amount of rage that gets introduced with BMers. Emotes aren't worth the amount of stress and rage that 2 for 5 bucks gets Supercell. Find another way to get cash (like pass royale for instance)

    Game modes (if that's what you call them

    I'm not saying spawn challenges are bad. But they're so stale, I'd break my jaw on them without even biting. Seriously, I'm no genius, but give me a day of learning what each program does, and I'll be able to make hundreds of these. I'm not joking. And I'm not getting paid millions of dollars to program for a living.

    It can't be THAT hard to make new game modes. Try something like a time-attack mode, where you need to destroy a tower as fast as possible. Or a boss fight. Or a story mode. I could go on forever. But no, we get these copy-paste game modes that literally take 10 seconds to make. Simply select a card's placeholder, copy, bring it to the spawn code in the challenge, paste. It ain't rocket science.

    Subreddit: do I even need to clarify?

    Maybe this is why we have a lack of content. The subreddit is so LÖDED with useless crap that Seth and Drew avoid it whenever they can. I don't blame them, this place is so poorly moderated. The mods need to wake the hell up and start cleaning up the crap over here.

    Meaningful content like u/Chief_PEKKA 's latest post (link in comment) gets drowned out by memes, 45-time reposts, and more "OMGLOOKIGOTPRINCESSFROMALEGENDARYCHESTISTHATEVENPOSSIBLE?" posts. Even more replays, and endless kids screaming about a tiny glitch. Clean. It. Up. Pronto.

    Conclusion

    Clash Royale is dying. There is no new content. We need more, or else we are slowly going to drop off, one by one. We were all expecting something big this month, but it's just Pass Royale this, Pass Royale that, ooo look a recycled card. Copy-pasting is just a show of laziness and greed. Players pay enough. It's time to get results. If we don't get something big next month, it would have been 10 (!) seasons since the last major change. And 10 seasons where I don't regret deleting the game.

    That's not what I want for this game. It's a blast to play and it deserves way better than what it has been getting.

    Clash Royale Season Storyline

    THE FLOOD

    A big flood makes it's way into the legendary arena a huge flood with it brings a new card fisherman and a new arena.

    Season 2

    SHIPWRECKED

    The clash royale kingdom gets away from the flood with the fisherman boat. They then crash into a mysterious island.This is the new clash royale arena.

    Season 3

    BE LEGENDARY

    The flooding stops and they return back to legendary arena this is the arena for this season everything is back to normal or is it?

    Season 4

    SHOCKTOBER

    Out of no where a giant METEOR comes crashing down to the arena and that meteor has so much elixir it overflows the arena and creates a new card the elixir golem.

    Season 5

    GREAT GOBLIN FEAST

    The Goblins and kings had so much leftover elixir that they threw a party with it and the goblins made the arena goblin-themed.

    Season 6

    CLASHMAS

    There it was clashmas the goblins favourite holiday as at got colder and colder it began to snow and the new clashmas arena came. The battle healer also joins the arena as a gift from DREW

    Season 7

    LUNAR NEW YEAR

    Lanterns and decorations as lunar new year comes and at that time firecracker quit archers group and decided to be with them the kings gave a explosive cannon and that's the new card for season 7.

    Season 8

    RETURN TO LEGENDARY

    As the holidays were over it was to time to return to legendary arena and the were preparing for next month THE BIRTHDAY!

    Season 9

    BIRTHDAY ROYALE

    The Kings birthday approaches and he orders him a big cake and a special delivery the big cake arrives and the new card!

    Add a Certified Content Creator badge for tournaments

    Wouldn't have to necessarily be a formal badge, just primarily asking for some unique symbol that a certified content creator can have to allow people to discern real tournaments from trolls.

    I don't think it's the biggest issue in the world, but I do think it's a quality of life update that would be pretty easy to implement and very effective at preventing the inconvenience of said troll tournaments. I'm 100% cool with it being temporary; my goal isn't to gain free stuff and exclusively to identify actual Supercell Certified content creators

    Everyone seems to think it's a good idea to cast it on top of Pekka or Elite Barbs for the initial stun. And then they're surprised when it gets one shot despite being made of wet tissue paper. Apparently 4 elixir zap is the new meta boys.
