Posted: 17 Jan 2020 06:09 PM PST Earthquake isn't the best of spells but that doesn't mean it needs a huge buff. Just the ability to deal damage to underground targets like miner and tesla and maybe a range increase to at least accommodate the size of it's animation would suffice. As everyone is aware, spells are usually the most important pieces of threat mitigation for every deck so of course they get a lot of love. At least the popular ones. Earthquake is a spell that has always seemed out of place to me, it's only defining role is to keep heavy building decks on the fringe of the meta. I don't remember building decks ever taking over the popular meta besides the occasional furnace/goblin hut control build so it seems a little weird to me to design a spell that is really only good at hosing building decks. Of course for this reason Earthquake has never seen much play competitively. Earthquake fails as a spell because it can't compete with the versatility of all the other options that steal it's slot. Freeze is an offensive powerhouse but if need be it can yeet squishies on defense, lightning can grab medium units or medium to small buildings, snowball can deal with any lightweight unit by knocking it back for retargeting or slowing it down enough to be picked off. Slowing units is nice and all but it doesn't remove them as threats as they can still attack and dealing loads of damage to buildings is awesome but there aren't consistently dangerous buildings being played on the ladder. So it's clear that the shop hasn't been touched in a while, other than removing the old chest a long time ago, my idea is to have a weekly offer, it works the same way as a daily offer but lasts for a week (duh). The weekly offer will be a little different however, one week it could contain all legendaries, the next all epics and the week after could be all rares (no commons because commons are very easy to obtain, but if the supercell team would like to add commons for the lower trophy players they may), the offers would contain 3 items or 6 (like the daily offers) but if SC chooses to do 3 times the legendaries would be sold as two e.g (2 royal ghost, 2 mega knight, 2 princess) or they choose to do 6 items but each legendary item would be sold as one. 3 items of Epics? Then 20 of each item or 6 items of epics? Then 10 each item. I think this would change the look of the shop which players like myself have been dying to see, it also gives the players an incentive to grind towards the weekly offers which means more playing time which is good for SC and the players. If the players choose not to grind then they can always buy gold and buy the items. For me personally the idea came from wanting to buy legendaries from the shop but they go away too quickly before I get the 40k of gold, I'm always 300 or 500 gold shy, so I thought a weekly offer would give me more time to manage my progression. TLDR; another section on the shop tab and it's a weekly shop that has 3 or 6 items that last for a week. I would love to hear your feedback on this [link] [comments] |
