So what deck actually takes skill? A Question for the whole reddit

    Posted: 26 Oct 2019 02:01 PM PDT

I feel like the longer you are on this reddit, the more vague on what the term "skill" really means, pretty sure every single deck or their included archetype has been deemed "skill-less" sometime or another.

-Beatdown is skill-less cause all you need to do is spam support troops behind a tank

-Siege is skill-less cause you can reliably defend with defenders advantage ans spam buildings and never need to cross the bridge

-Cycle is skill-less cause you just defend with cheap troops and spam your win condition

-Bait is skill-less cause you just gob barrel after they use a weak spell

-Miner Poison is skill-less cause you just need to constantly chip away and poison is unavoidable damage

-Spell Cycle is skill-less cause it's unavoidable damage

-Hog is skill-less cause you can spam it and nothing counters for a positive trade

So basically nothing works, biased people would say anything is takes "no skill" to try to prevent others for feel guilty to playing it, and they succeeded, despite having a year of experience playing with log bait, this is the first time I have been criticized so heavily by a post made a few weeks ago claiming that people that play such deck is skill-less and have no originality, it was IMHO one of the most toxic and ridiculous post I have seem on all of reddit, and yet I still couldn't help felling guilty about it,despite me knowing that it's more than just princess bait + tricky barrel and that it wasn't that good in this meta.

You see what this is? People can't play a deck without people indirectly insulting them, they don't look at the player, no they take one look at the deck and deemed the player either skilled and no skilled. It's even worse by that most people can't even explain what does true skill in this game mean. What is skill? What does it mean? It seems like "skill"is just a term we use to describe those we look up upon while "no skill" is used on those inferior to us, you could be a really good player but if you play a deck that someone doesn't like, they wouldn't hesitate in calling you a noob. The result is that there's no clear definition of what's skillful or not, people claim decks like miner and cycle is very skill focused while other argue siege is the most skillful, pretty much everyone would say beatdown and hog is noob. There's not even a clear definition on what is skillful or not, and most people aren't qualified to say if it is or not. People should be able to play what they want, not forced to obey by a word that reality has a very very vague and unrealistic meaning
