Clash Royale Let's Talk About Deck Posts

    Let's Talk About Deck Posts

    Posted: 01 Sep 2021 03:17 PM PDT

Hey everyone, We've been doing some thinking internally about our recent change to deck posts outlined here. We anticipated this would lead to a dramatic decrease in deck posts to the sub, but we have actually seen this number increase over time. So we've come down to three options we wanted to get some feedback on.

    1. Like Meme Monday, we would only allow deck posts on one day of the week. Our current thinking is Wednesday. Is this a good idea? Any downsides?
    2. Disallow deck posts on the subreddit as a whole. They don't bring as much discussion as we'd hoped and have led to a lot of spam on the subreddit. We would ban these posts and direct users to Discord. Is this a better idea? Worse? Why?
    3. Have our automoderator post a "deck help" discussion post every 2-3 days and restrict all deck content to be posted on that thread. Do you prefer this solution? Keep in mind this would take a pinned slot and would be regularly subbed out for other content.

That's where we are at! We wanted to tie in the greater community before making a choice on this. Let us know what you think down below, or if you have any other ideas for how we can better handle deck posts.

    Thank you,/r/ClashRoyale Moderation Team

[DISCUSSION] Worst vs Best ways to spend your gems IMO

    Posted: 01 Sep 2021 12:31 PM PDT

Hey reddit, here is a tutorial on how to get the most value out of your gems! This tutorial is aimed to help new players to don't make mistakes with the most important currency in Clash Royale, but it might help a few other more experienced players to.

Desclaimer: this Tutorial is based on my personal ingame experience so if you don't agree with one of the these points feel free to comment yours. List goes from worst to best ways.

    WORST WAYS TO SPEND GEMS

-you can accelerate the cool down of requesting cards in your clan, pretty unnecessary if you ask me

-you can create a private tournament for 10 gems to just have fun with your friends, no rewards, just fun with the homies.

-you can accalerate the chest time, really bad way because it cost a lot and you don't really get nothing from it.

-you can buy cards from the shop, REALLY EXPENSIVE for easy earnabel cards (example: 100 skeletons for 45 gems)

-you can buy gold in the shop with gems, yet it's also overpriced and you don't really spend 500 gems for 10000 gold

    MEDIOCRE WAYS TO SPEND GEMS:

-you can buy chests from the shop, also a bad idea compared to the good ways on spending gems, but still a good deal. Some will think that it belongs to the bas ways because it's really overpriced, tough I really think that your gems can be worth their cost if you get a good Fortune Chest. still not the best way.

-you can play a grand challenge: 100 gems for reasonable good rewards. on grand challenges you will face only tryhardes and pro players (literally) . if you're under 6.5k I don't think spending your gems on this one

-you can buy 3 more tries in challenges, if youre near to the last rewards it maybe could be an option though I think that the fact that you don't get 100% the rewards it makes it a pretty bad way to spend gems.

    GOOD WAYS TO SPEND GEMS:

-you can buy emotes from the shop, while a lot of players hate emotes I think they make a huge difference ingame: besides the flex and all it actually "provoces" your enemie. If you provoce enough, your enemy might do some misplays, there was a thread about this : "psicological warfare with emotes" pretty interestig

-you can play a classic challenge: 10 gems for mediocre rewards but if you play like 10 classic challenges and get like 5 wins you'll still get 10 gold and a lot of cards. the fact why I think that these are better it's beacause they are simpler to win: the gems/rewards balance is exactly the same as those of the grand challenge, but I feel like casuals play the CC more than tryharders and pros. Example: If you get 5 wins in a Grand Challenge the reawards are the same as 10x5 wins in a Classic Challenge. So beacause CC are played by players who are a bit lower than those on Grand Challenges it makes it easier, and once you get +8-9 wins your gems help a lot.

BEST WAY TO SPEND GEMS IN MY OPINION:

-you can buy Global Tournaments rewards, if you have over 500 gems you'll only have to get over 10 wins to get a lot of value out of them. it's pretty hard but after a bit of practice you'll get it. save up youre gems until you get you're first 10 wins. i followed 1 year ago a tutorial on how to use gems and had as a free to play player over 2000 gems, and once I reguraly got 10 wins in Global Tournaments and bought 4 times the rewards it really boosted my account by a lot.

By the way I play since beta (5 years) and have over 7k on my first account and 6k on my second. if you need strategy or anything dm me I'll give you my Friend link!

Why are people so toxic in this game lol

    Posted: 01 Sep 2021 05:43 PM PDT

Literally was just in a match where the guy was two levels above me and just spammed x-bow cycle deck and proceeds to spam the laugh and crying as well as the "thanks" emoji's after he killed a unit of mine and after barely beating me in overtime by one crown while his tower, which had much more health, was nearly dead. Why people so toxic lol

I changed hog 2.6 to make it slightly more expensive. Tbh seems like something people use in mid ladder.
