Bait Barrel could be used as a fake goblin barrel to bait out logs and easily trigger a reaction from your opponent.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET RID OF CLAN WARS 2, IT’S HORRIBLE & STRESSFUL

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 04:51 AM PST

We are top 5 ranked local clan for wars and I'm it's leader so you would think we know what we're talking about and doing well. And we are.

BUT... I'm coming to hate every Tuesday!!! I cannot stand this sweaty war format with the race piled into 2 crappy hours where it becomes more about who's simply online and not about skill. It's a shit format and SC knows it but isn't doing ANYTHING about it!!!!!

Come on Supercell, you're encouraging game burn out. People have lives to juggle and not be chained to their mobiles every Tuesday morning when they have work or school.

And don't even get me started on the time zone rubbish. Not everyone who plays this game can sit on their ass with nothing to do except war when needed.

Also CW2 discourages clan diversity as it hurts you having players across different time zones because you can't mobilise them like say an all German or French clan who can line up 50 players easily for boat attacks and finish in 45 mins. We have 10+ players in US who aren't even up so the rest of the clan stresses about finishing without them around. It discourages clans to allow players in from all over the world - surely that's not in the spirit of the game???

So SUPERCELL....End this crappy stress, format and burnout and create a war that properly allows for skill, whole days of competing, encourages diversity and allows everyone to get a fair crack of the whip...

    CHANGE THIS RUBBISH!!!!!! 💩💩💩💩💩💩

Thought 5 MK passes completed by the fishermen might brighten up this Tuesday.

SuperCell, just above the boat attack, can we have the “Remaining War Battles” number? So that leaders can see which players need reminders. Also, can you bring back the nudge button?

Do you want a classic global tournament at the end of the month?

    And then there were none..

    Any improvements?

If you’ve collected all of your global tournament rewards, dont just sit there! Give your matches to someone in need

The etiquette of who makes the first move

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 09:34 PM PST

What's your opinion on the etiquette of who plays their first card? Often since I run reactive decks I'll wait for my opponent to go first and sometimes it can be a drawn out stalemate where neither of us want to be first to place.

My friend is of the opinion that one of you is a higher level than your opponent then you should have the decency to go first since you already have that advantage. Obviously that doesn't have any bearing on 13 decks but it's something...

My 3 elixir defensive Knight defeated his 7 elixir offensive Mega Knight one on one.

My side of the tower of course. But still, my 3 elixir Knight can effectively defend heavy hard hitting single targeting troop like Pekka, MiniPekka, Valkyrie, Mega Knight, Sparky, Giant Skeleton, Night Witch, and Prince.

It's terrible game design that I have to push my clan to get their war attacks in as earlier as possible to stand a chance at winning a river race.

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 11:20 AM PST

I know we're probably getting sick of all the Clan Wars 2 bitching here. Fortunately, I'm not. It's wild that 99% of my clan's river races end by noon CST on the second day. For us to even stand a chance at getting first the majority of my clan needs to get their attacks in first thing in the morning when people are getting ready for work and have life shit to do.

I think CW2 went in with good intentions, but they did not playtest this at all. Apart from the first war, we don't even do boat attacks, what's the point? You can complete a race well before anyone sinks your boat. When you play clans on the other side of the planet, you wake up to their 7k headstart. Wonderful!

Clan wars 2 has literally killed this game. We had a family of 3 clans, a community of nearly 150 people, and now we barely have enough active people to fill one clan. At this point, the only thing keeping most of my clan playing is each other and the friendships we've built over the past four years.

It'd be nice if u/Supercell_Drew actually took a more active role in pushing dev & product teams with feedback from the community and a need to be more transparent and accountable. You see this often in other gaming communities, r/destinythegame for example. Several community managers engage there as well as developers. And if Drew is already doing that, great, share it! From my perspective as someone who's played since beta is that the majority of the decision making is so incredibly out of touch, and it has been since the announcement of CW2. We see core changes to experiences like rewards, trophies and hell, even the placement of buttons when opening a chest! Then an immediate reversal of those decisions. That isn't the sign of a game developer engaging with their playerbase, it's an indication that they're monitoring feedback and integrating it as minimally as possible. Clash royale is a service-based game. This type of game requires frequent enough updates to keep content fresh, and I think the announcement of moving balance changes once over 2 or 3 months is an indication that we'll be delivered marginal improvements slower then ever before.

I really do hope I'm wrong and we start to see some announcements and awesome updates in the coming year, but I'm not hopeful. I see this game going the way of the rest of supercell's failed portfolio of games. It'll just be the most notable one.

It's too easy in today's world with updates, covid and life to vent frustration everywhere. Just a reminder this is a game meant to have fun.

The Definitive Fix to Starting Hand RNG

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 02:43 PM PST

One of clash royale's major downfalls in gameplay is the ability to win/lose a game based on what cards you/your opponent have in hand.

We've all had the frustrating experience of losing to a player who lava'd first play, golem'd, lumber-loon'd, etc. What makes this so frustrating is how your opponent can win based off a coin flip. If they have the right cards and you don't, you are put at a serious disadvantage. At the highest levels of play, games can often be decided this way as there's little room to outplay your opponent when you're similar in skill level.

My idea is that all 8 cards should appear in your starting hand. And as you play each card one by one, your hand shrinks by 1 card until you get back to the original 4 card hand. So if you begin a match and play 1 card, you're down to a 7 card hand. Then 6, then 5, then back to the standard 4 set hands we have.

A coin shop like other moba (lol dota).

    Posted: 19 Jan 2021 09:23 PM PST

So if you guys have played moba their is a gold shop during matches which increase as the game goes on and if you kill other champions it gives more gold and with those gold you can buy items which will help make your champion more powerful . If adding this in cr will make the game more strategic like for eg- we can access a shop during game after every 60sec for 5-10sec it will make every match more unique than previous . What you guys think about this idea?
