They’ve still not removed the tips from the last clan wars

Nothing says Clash Royale more than having someone 2 levels higher than you with cards 2-3 levels higher than yours Bm spam you.

Was that intentional? Your clan doesn't get as much fame if you use a card that is boosted to the maximum level as if you used a maxed one.

Anyone else thinks CARD progression is perfect and the problem is purely gold?

This is the first time I open Drew’s Twitter and I see this.

Hello everyone!!, There are too many people using the same decks, almost to the point that they just copy whatever will make them win. So I want to propose these cards (read comments)

An interesting piece of Clash Royale history (Which is especially important now)

    Posted: 21 Oct 2020 05:18 AM PDT

Back in 2016 when Clash Royale's popularity was at it's initial climb one of the most requested features was an option to mute emotes. This was Supercell's response to those requests.

They were ignoring the feedback while being clearly confident that the game was popular enough for them to get away with openly provoking strong negative emotions from their players with both their cards and features. However, the popularity of the game quickly fell by 50% in the next few weeks. Their revenue was most likely quickly going down as well.

Shortly after that (most likely due to the drop of popularity) Supercell did a full 180 and posted their "rethinking emotes" post which promised a semi-functional mute option.

A fully functional mute option was eventually added. Why is this important now?

Clash Royale was by all accounts initially designed and maintained to (quite openly by the team itself) gather money by making people angry. Even now there is little to no evidence that their updates have been designed to make your experience with the game better. As a long-time player I still think that the game has huge potential to get better.

However, it is important for us to remember that we getting upset at the game is generally by design, our requests (just by themselves) mean very little to nothing to them and our only way to truly push the team to go in a positive direction is to vote with our money and get their revenue down whenever we are not happy with it.

When Drew said about CW2 that he will not share the fix road map "just yet", he actually meant "never"

More seriously, the CW2 fix patch is coming next season according to twitter but we have had 0 communication whatsoever regarding its contents. That is NOT how you will avoid backslash Supercell. The community opinion matters unless you want another fiasco.

I wish they show us the level or trophies of opponents in Duel at start so that we can decide at first to choose our best deck or worst deck

Does everyone else's Trophy Progression look like this? No wonder it feels stale and boring. WTH is going on?

Reason why Clan Wars 2 is less fun than Ladder and Clan Wars 1

    Posted: 21 Oct 2020 09:25 PM PDT

    1. Overview This post is from my own perspective as a non-level 13 player who is usually playing/winning at ladder against opponents with max level cards and king's tower. Though, my this post will likely apply to every other player that has yet to reach max level. I want to clear up the following terms first before I continue with the comparison:

Skill: the likelihood for a player to win when using decks at same levels.

Experience: the skill that a person has acquired after playing a certain deck for a long period of time.

    2. Ladder In my opinion, ladder has been pretty fair whereas the skill/experience pays off. This is because the average trophies increases with each day. Let's take the following timeline example during the start of each season.

    • Beginning of season: we get to play against people and the chance to win is higher than 50% (will get back to this later on).

    • Mid-season: opponents are usually max level with stronger cards than us. The difference in experience is large enough to make up for the difference in level. This makes me win 70-80% of the battles when playing at a normal pace (having full chest queues at times, while sometimes being out of chests).

    • End of season: the same procedure as mid-season continues to happen since average trophy count increases during the season. In the end, we get a season reset and the same applies to the beginning of a season again.

In the end, the experience of a player clearly pays off since you can win over 50% of the matches when not trying to push your trophy count too much.

    3. Clan Wars 1 During CW1 you would be playing 3 collection day matches before you started the final match with the collected cards. I will separate this section into 2 parts: the collection day and a final match.

    • Collection day: the matches depended on the game mode you chose, but it was possible to play only tournament level modes, such as classic deck battle and the game mode where you selected your cards during the match. Both game modes were based on the skill of each player and not on the experience or card level, since the decks consisted of random tournament level cards.

    • Final match: this match was never too exciting as the opponent could out-level your cards. Skill/experience played less of a role in this match because the decks were random (you cannot have experience with those decks) and neither were they skill-based (levels are not the same).

In the end, the final match didn't matter too much as it was only 1 unfair battle of the 4. CW1 was therefore still bearable if you wanted skill/experience to matter on your wins or loses.

    4. Clan Wars 2 Here starts the fun part. Clan wars 2 is full of matches where you get out-leveled by the opponent. I am not sure what the match-making is based on, but I can clearly see that 70%+ of the time I get matched with people with stronger cards than me. To get a better understanding of CW2, I will separate it into two parts:

    • 1 battle with your main deck: this deck consists of cards that you usually play ladder with and is much higher in level than the other decks used in CW2. Since this deck is your main deck, you can usually win during matches since you have experience to make up for level difference.

    • 3 battles with random stuff: it is almost impossible to win with these decks since they are: 1. under-leveled 2. experience doesn't count 3. skill neither, because the difference in card level is too much.

    5. Conclusion As we can see, CW2 is consisting of 3 boring battles and 1 fun battle where skill/experience plays a part. During the boring battles you can even play against people with the same skill as you (because of the weird match-making) and then have an even lower chance to win. Ladder is at least more fair towards card level differences by letting you constantly get matched against people with a lower skill/experience than you. CW1 does it better in terms of playing 3 tournament level random decks and 1 less exciting final battle.

This is an analysis from my own perspective. Let me know what you guys think about this!
