    The Strength and Viability of Earthquake & Firecracker in the Current Meta

    Earthquake: "Deals Damage per second to Troops and Crown Towers. Deals huge Building Damage! Does not affect flying units (it is an EARTHquake, after all)."

    Firecracker: "Shoots a firework that explodes on impact, damaging the target and showering anything behind it with sparks. This is what happens when Archers get bored!"

    Reposting a comment so five more people can see this and disagree on everything

    While I believe that every damage spell (except The Log) will still be viable, I think the spell nerfs have shown something more important:

    The devs don't understand their game.

    Not mentioning how there is actually only one deck that actively features spell cycle(3.5 IceBow), the only reason why spell cycling is a thing is because of the horrendous meta.

    It has been the same issue ever since people started complaining about Miner, many just don't seem to realize all the IceWiz + Nado, Knight, Musketeer, Royal Delivery and Barbarian Hut rampaging in the game might have been responsible for something.

    Maybe, just maybe, the meta might have become a bit too defensive?

    Just in case you think that wasn't defensive enough, don't forget Hunter, Fisherman, Bomb Tower, Tesla, also Bowler and Royal Recruits getting buffed next patch.

    Here's the question: How are you supposed to break through all of that?

    Trick question, you don't

    People love to complain about Hog Rider and Golem all the time, but the truth is none of those cards had been in a viable state within competitive play for months.

    It has now become a constant struggle to use any win condition that needs to cross the bridge. The only reliable way to actually get damage in this meta is to appear right next to the tower.

    With every conventional way of offense being hard countered, the only way to actually get damage is by using uncounterable strategies.

    After all, no BarbHut, Knight, Musketeer, Royal Delivery combo is gonna stop a Fireball from raining down on towers.

    Ironically, when every push can be stopped so easily, throwing spells on tower every once in a while doesn't seem like such a bad idea anymore.

    However, the laughable truth is that the devs seem to believe that losing your tower to Fireball is way worse than having your 20+ elixir push stopped by something half its cost.

    With all that talk about preferring offensive gameplay, the devs sure have no problem nerfing win conditions over and over again while keeping defensive cards stronger than ever.

    I genuinely fear for Graveyard, with Miner and Spell Cycle getting absolutely diced, it might be the only viable win condition left in the game.

    Tragically, some in the community, as blind as they are, have started to call for nerfs. Judging by how it has been like, the devs might actually agree with them.

    Dear Devs: How many cards do you have to kill before you finally realise what the real problem is? How long do you have to continue this suffering? How is all of this happening? How?

    Most of the winning decks were some variation of Graveyard. So for the upcoming season they buff a card (Bowler) that synergizes perfectly with Graveyard? Did SC ignore the 75% win rate for GY decks in No Tilt?

    If you click on your current crown chest and next crown chest at the same time, the next crown chest is queued up. The timing can be tricky because you really have to click on the first chest a little before the second.
