Clash Royale Placing a Building 2 tiles into the other lane will let the Princess tower redirect to another unit. This is insanely helpful against Giant Graveyard, Goblin Giant Sparky, and even some Golem decks (Not shown)

    CWA viewers report

    Hi all,

I don't typically post here but since CWA (an American Clash Royale youtuber) stated this morning that his viewers has halved in the past half year I decided to find out whether that's the case.

I'm not a native speaker in English so please forgive me for my errors.

    https://preview.redd.it/cq0eiqt00o551.png?width=848&format=png&auto=webp&s=3079e18e9ae177e9f915a303fa53e52f80ec0f54

    Analysis

I decided to collect the total amount of viewers from all his CR-related videos starting from 10 june 2019 to 10 june 2020. I picked 10 june (a week ago) to make sure that most people that usually watch his videos have watched it.

I added a line to show the moving average, for which a period of a week (7 days) has been taken. Please note that the Y-Axis is set to 350.000, to make sure the graph is readable (but there are outliers above that value).

In the last year the most amount of viewers he got was just over a million for a video with Bufarete (another cr-youtuber, August 2019). The least amount he got was 54k a month ago.

Out of his least watched 50 video's over the past year, 47 of them were in 2020 (#31, #38, #44 weren't), 35 of them were even from the past 2 months (april or later).

This decline is also visible in the moving average.

Whereas in june 2019 the moving average tended to hover around 200k viewers per video, he currently only attracts 75k viewers per video.

    So what does this mean?

In line with Google Trends interest for Clash Royale is down (This goes beyond CWA's channel).

If this continues content creators (Especially smaller content creators) may not be able to make a living out of CR.

Explanations for this are commonly posted on this sub, so I'm not going to dive into that.

I hope Supercell can turn around this trend for this great game and bring it back to live!

    TL:DR

CWA used to get around 200k viewers for his videos around june 2019, now however he only gets around 75k.

This was in clash of Clans subreddit and the Post was about Supercell's new game, clash royale. Never knew what people thought about the game until now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Add a Grand Challenge slot on TV Royale.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 09:01 AM PDT

I love watching top 200 ladder replays and it would be nice if supercell added a grand challenge slot so we could view grand challenge replays. I know stats royale posts grand challenge videos but id like an ingame feature just like top 200 ladder.

Has anyone else also enjoyed the mini mirror challenge that they have going? I feel like that is something they should leave permanently for people to play.

I think it will be cool if we can have "air defence" from clash of clans as a new 4 elixir rare card in next season cuase if they even balance skeleton dragons in next season it will still be hard to attack both of them especially when there is a tank like golem in front of them.

    Supercell’s major flaw in communication.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 07:27 AM PDT

This is a low hanging fruit, I know. Last post I talked about how the PLAYERS are partially the problem. However, as u/doubledragon888 said, these people are being toxic because of a problem. Because of the utter lack of communication between the playerbase and the Devs. As a result, players are toxic against supercell.

The Uneasy Relationship Between The Playerbase and the Dev Team

The dev team rarely communicates with what they are up to. When was the last FAQ/AMA? May. We're left with only 2 pictures to figure what the hell the big update is. If supercell wants to keep the community satisfied, they must display their activity.

I agree that some of this can be attributed to our toxicity, that was the point of my last post.

But that should NOT be an excuse for not communicating. Think of it like an endless circle. Because the dev team isn't sharing info, people are being toxic. And then because people are being toxic, the dev team is even more reluctant to share info.

That begs the question, who should break this?

How Players Can Help Stop This

Firstly, realize the dev team are working hard on the update. Even if the update should have come out a few seasons ago, be patient. With respect to that, don't be so hostile against the devs.

Provide ideas for the dev team, how they can step up their communication game. Turn that negative energy into trying to improve the game.

    What Supercell Can Do

    1. Firstly, do monthly AMAs. These are very insightful on what the devs are up to, and we will understand better what the big update is.

    2. Release the 2 months of teasers already! These will help build hype for the big update, and will help older players get back into the game, because they know what to expect.

    3. Comment on effort posts, balance posts, or nice artwork. These show that the dev team are active and that the dev team at least looks at all the major ideas presented in the subreddit.

    4. Realize that a lot of the toxicity from the community originated from there being no communication. Firstly, don't blame the subreddit entirely. Just look at the most upvoted posts at the beginning of the season. They were all mocking the fact that supercell weren't communicating about their plans.

TL;DR much of the community is upset because of lack of communication by the dev team. The only way to repair this relationship between the dev team and playerbase is if players stop being toxic and the dev team starts communicating.
