    Why is the elixir golem allowed to exist in this game?

    I intend this post to be a discussion.

    As the title states, I do not understand the place of the elixir golem in this game. Supercell has previously said that they are against slow, defensive metas. I get that. I'm personally a mortar player and even I don't want a buildings dominated meta. The point of the game is to have fun and be competitive.

    But if you are against slow defensive metas, you should also be against brain dead aggression.

    When supercell announced the elixir golem, they said it would usher in an entirely new archetype. True, it ushered in the archetype of brain dead fuckwarts. Aside from the deck with battle bitch and electro wanker, where is this archetype?

    The card's singular use with another broken card (Battle Healer: Doesn't die to rocket, heals itself and surrounding troops and heals other healers, heals passively as well for 4 elixir) should be the first indication that there needs to be serious re-balancing or reworking.

    But what have been the balances / reworks? 10% hp nerf. How does this change anything about the card in practice?

    Why doesn't supercell understand that there is no point to gaining 4 elixir once you've lost a tower?

    If you have a bad starting hand, you've already lost. If you mismanage even 1 or 2 elixir, you've already lost. If you cycle cause you're at full elixir and cause he has the advantage in double elixir, you've already lost.

    With other decks, if you make a mistake, you can craftily make an attempt at recovery in most cases. Min max a bit here and there, build average pushes even when you can go full out to make up for elixir lost etc. With the elixir golem deck, there is no chance of recovery. An elixir golem at the bridge and in the pocket during double elixir surrounded by a healer, e dragon, nado and poison is frankly too much. It's tantamount to two golems on your tower with all that support.

    There should not be any avenue in the game where so much aggression can be bought so cheaply.

    No matter what you are running, it's a headache to defend these egolem pushes with very little probability of a good pay off with those 4 elixir.

    The point is, on paper the elixir golem seems like a good idea. But the implementation and it's interactions with other cards is such that it creates for a very toxic deck that has been cancerous for quite a while now.

    There definitely needs to be a rework of this card and even the battle healer as I've seen opponents completely ignore any push I make and just slowly load up in the back with egolem night witch and a healer irrespective of what's in the other lane. This is very poor gameplay and entirely against the idea of tactical maneuvering that is the soul of clash royale.

    The other day in crl, xpedro played the egolem deck against Bale twice in a row. He practically won the first game but he made a bad call towards the end so he lost, but he had the impunity to bring the same deck again to the second game and this time the helplessness of Bale made me hate the balance team for a few seconds with all my heart. This is a crl pro player looking like it's his first time playing Clash. There was nothing he could do, no way to recover. No split pressure, no min maxing, no trades, all pedro did was load up in one lane. This is not why we originally got into the game.

    The game has been in a very bad state lately and while greater changes are needed in the form of game mode implementations and other revisions, in terms of card balancing, I think elixir golem and battle healer need immediate nerfs.

    Some suggested nerfs from my side :

    • EGolem : HP nerf is rather irrelevant. The elixir recovery should be faster. 1 elixir each for killing the two medium blobs and 0.5 elixir each for killing the four mini blobs.

    • Battle Healer : Needs an hp nerf badly. Should die to rocket if other aspects are to be kept. If you have to keep her rocket proof like valkyrie, remove passive healing and healing other healers.

    Edit: In today's match between Team Liquid and Tribe, tribe started the 2v2 with both players playing egolem battle healer and 3 crowned Surgical Goblin and Kanarioo in 2 minutes. Surge and Kanarioo had to devise a deck with every possible splash counter and won against the same deck in match 2 after a hard fight. The interaction between egolem and battle healer makes it a very skewed deck, causing moments and matches like these.

    Im getting sick of scrolling through the sub only to see post after post of these shitty 4k players asking for a deck rating. It makes me not even wanna visit this sub bc it adds nothing and i think there should be something done about it. Thats just how i feel tho

    A lot of people request to nerf cards like firecracker because they are "broken".

    If you look at the stats they aren't that good especially battle healer.

    If you look at pro's opinion.

    They don't think a single second it's strong.

    If you look at top ladder matches it doesn't even look strong.

    And most of these nerfs aren't even that good.

    Like,making fc dying to log ,what?

    There are even some people who think bh should die to rocket which gives me serious brain tumor.

    All that because OP doesn't like to face the card but yeah let's find an excuse to nerf the card.

    And most of these type pf posts get an pretty good amount of upvotes.

    And most of these people are the people who complain about every set og bc to spc.

    While they do some stuff your still questioning why they even did some part of the community is just a lot worse at balancing the game
