All figures are an evenly-weighted average aggregation of usage rates and win rates across Top 1000 Ladder, Grand Challenges, and Classic Challenges. ​ Low-cost spells that deal damage consistently dominate the Top 10. Big spells that deal damage are middle of the pack Spells that do not deal damage are consistently Bottom 10 ​ The Top 10 cards all cost 4 elixir or lower, providing great utility to any deck. ​ 5 of the Bottom 10 cards cost 5 elixir or higher. ​ Could game-play mechanics be tinkered with to make heavy elixir decks more viable? The most popular Grand Challenge decks this season have an average Elixir average of 3.46. The most popular Top Ladder decks this season have an average Elixir average of 3.26. The most popular Overall decks this season have an average Elixir average of 3.24. ​ Ensuring a diverse, well-rounded meta Would you rather see the same 5 meta decks over and over? Or would you rather have a rock-paper-scissor meta where 20 decks are viable? ​ Balance changes are a more quantifiable and transparent art. Heal, fire spirits, royal recruits, witch, and elite barbarians have been a Bottom 10 cumulative win rate and usage rate cards for months on end now. Granted there are other mechanics and synergies at play, but there is no harm in making the consistently Bottom 10 cards more viable.
