Idea: Adding Troop Size stats. This wouldn’t just add another stat. It could add a new level of gameplay for newer cards. Imagine a new card thats standout feature is that it prioritized large troops. It could also standardize what knock-back does.

In the spirit of Christmas, and gaming spirit, let's all review what it means to play Clash Royale. It has been a roller coaster of a year, especially the last few months of 2019.

I feel that the discussions on YouTube, Reddit, Facebook and so on have been on focus about what cards are overpowered, deck skill caps, unfair matchmaking and so on. This is especially as more and more videos on YouTube focus on rankings of legendary cards, non-legendary cards and decks etc.

However, at the end of the day, Clash Royale is a game. What does it mean?

First and most importantly, let's have fun playing it. Sure, some cards and decks are better to focus on, and makes gameplay smoother over time. That is good. However, focusing on certain cards or decks just to push trophy... In the long run it's just exhausting. It's better to play a deck you have fun with. If you like barbarian rage, sure go for it. It's nice to have adrenaline rush, just that you might not advance far in trophies.

Secondly, like all games, clash royale requires grinding and levelling. Especially for ladder. So we need to focus on a ladder deck. Like for hero management games, there might be 50 heroes, but one usually only focus on maxing the main team of 4, not level all 50 evenly. However, since clash royale has clan war and tournaments of level limits, that would be a secondary focus, usually limits of 9-12.

Thirdly, I want to acknowledge the efforts of Supercell Dev team, Seth and Drew, as well as all the YouTubers, helpful redditors out there and those who contribute to Clash Royale. It isn't easy sustaining and building a game that focuses on one v one battles nowadays, given how most e-sports and trending games focus on battle Royales (100 v 100) and team battles (5v5), and so on. The issue is balance actually, and it's never an easy task since deck composition, starting hand compositions and matchmaking affects affect how gameplay as well.

This Christmas, let's all be grateful for this great game we have the opportunity to play and here's hoping to an even better 2020!

I think it would be a lot of fun if there's a way for clans to play secret Santa. Every member has the option to participate for maybe 100 gems. And maybe each can then select an emote to gift another member.
Probably too late to be implemented for this year. But perhaps next year?! 😂

I have used Executioner from the day he released till earlier this week. He's my favorite troop in the game, but after this last month and a half it was time for a change. The more I thought about switching from him I couldn't decide if I wanted to add Hunter, Wizard, or Magic Archer.

I tried Hunter right when they changed Executioner as he mirrored his close range high damage before the emergency buff, but found he was infuriatingly inconsistent with interactions.

Wizard never was implemented, because he is basically a squishier Executioner that doesn't seem to ever provide the value of 5 elixir.

Then I tried Magic Archer, and as I started using him, he's almost better than Executioner in every single way. I'm winning games I used to lose, because of the tower damage he can provide. (Every little chip helps, because I'm a Hog Quake player) Even though his damage is 50 less per hit than Exe, he attacks so much more. He's cheaper, and provides spell bait.

In conclusion, after switching I think that Magic Archer out classes Executioner in every way, and see no reason why a player would ever use Executioner anymore until they try to improve him once again.
